I can't really comment on the choice between violet wand or powrebox, as i have no experience with violet wands. I think powerboxes are a bit cheaper to get started with, as there are cheap entry versions, although they might quickly be to limited (not enough power, and/or programs). If you want a proper powerbox and toys then it and the violet wand are in about the same price range. And I think the violet wand is more focussed on the skin, while powerboxes go deeper, and powerboxes are more powerful and can cause more pain, but the violet wand of course has a certain sex appeal due to the crackling sound and light show

I'm not completely sure, but i think a type of violet wand is used (tied to her thigh) in this excellent shoot making it possible for Claire Adams to cause electric discharge with just her hands. or of course any other bodily contact.
