If you have not heard, there is a bill, AB332, making its way through Sacramento. The bill would require condoms to be used in all adult productions in CA.
The industry already has self-imposed 30 day mandatory testing in place. As a result of this, every time there is the threat of an infection, the industry shuts down production until an investigation is complete. The last time HIV was transmitted from one performer to another on an adult set was in 2004.
What we most fear is that if condoms become mandatory, some production companies will cease the 30 day testing, thereby actually reducing safety. We also fear this legislation may force companies and hence models out of state.

Registered California voters' voices are likely to be those which California assembly members will be most inclined to listen and pay attention to. If you are faxing, emailing or mailing them, and you happen to be a registered voter in the state of California, please make sure to mention that when you contact the assembly members.
